Day 304

If anyone can guess this I'll be amazed.

Day 303

This evening I had fun freaking out the neighbours. I've found it slightly unnerves them when you wander around in the dark taking photos. It made me smile.

Whilst I was wandering, I found this lamp that always makes me think of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I'm quite impressed that despite the chill, I managed to get a reasonably crisp shot. One day I will have to remember my tripod!

Day 302

A view from my book shelf. If only this was all I had to read.

Wednesday, 28 October 2009

Day 301

A view of the sky and the tower.

Tuesday, 27 October 2009

Day 300

Two pieces of good news.

1) This project has to be handed in 10th November so only 2 and a half more weeks of these kind of pictures.

2) I'm not in the studio tomorrow so I may even take shots of something that's outside and not a Uni project.

Day 299

It was dark when I eventually left Uni today. I wanted to play with the lights that are at the bottom of my hill. (I live at the top). I can only blame the books on Abstraction I've been reading lately for Uni.

Sunday, 25 October 2009

Day 298

One day I may even learn to play it.

Saturday, 24 October 2009

Day 297

Today's shot has been a real struggle.

I went to the Royal Albert Hall with my housemate, Bre, to watch a performance of Carmina Burana. The venue was stunning and I took lots of photos.I also took some fantastic photos (if I say so myself) of the surrounding area. I'll post them on my other blog if your curious. Then maybe you'll understand my dilemma.

Day 296

This was taken through my kaleidoscope. I love using it for collecting random, symmetrical images. The mixture of light and transparent colour gives me a stained glass window in my pocket. *sigh*

Thursday, 22 October 2009

Day 295

We've been making 3-D sculptures from photocopy of mini paper sculptures. Confused? It's playing with 2-D and 3-D. I've really enjoyed making these pieces and made a realisation today. Alot of my work seems to be influenced by Henry Moore.

I'm amazed I didn't realise sooner. It was only a conversation with one of my tutors that made me make the connection.

Day 294

Last night my gorgeous friend popped over for dinner. She brought with her this beauiful skirt that she no longer wears with the question would I like it?!

What do you think?!

Tuesday, 20 October 2009

Day 293

Today we were working on structures. The day was so busy and I was so tired, I barely had time to think about taking any other photos. I'm sorry you must be really bored of my Uni shots.

While I think about it. My internet connection has been really jazz at the moment so my lack of response to your kind comments is not because I'm being rude. I'd really like to thank the usual suspects - Alan, Timmy, Laura, Susan and Ozzy in particular. If I've forgotten you, it's truly not personal, mt memory is appalling. All comments are gratefully received. I may even be able to return the favour if I can ever sort out my internet!

Monday, 19 October 2009

Day 292

I thought I'd go with a different angle for today's shot.

Sunday, 18 October 2009

Day 291

I've been in Covent Garden for most of the day and I saw this bridge.

Of course I love the spiral of the bridge itself and the reflection.

Day 290

This is a shot of the living room light with my broken glass vase on the end of the camera.

I think it makes a really interesting distortion. I may well have to use this effect with other images.

Friday, 16 October 2009

Day 289

I've spent alot of today knitting. Being a poor student (ahhhhhh), many of my friends will be receiving made gifts. These range from hats and socks to silly things like this sheep. The pattern is for a basic sheep and then you knit coats for it to dress it in. It uses up oddments of wool and I think it's kinda fun.

Day 288

I like the dismantled quality of this.

Wednesday, 14 October 2009

Day 287

This is the view from one of the upper floors in the library.

I love the narrowness of the corridor and the reflections within the space.

Tuesday, 13 October 2009

Day 286

I've walked past this alley way so many times and thought that it'd make a great subject. Today I finally got my camera and the alley together at the same time.

Monday, 12 October 2009

Day 285

I was experimenting with wrapping things today. In part it's homework for Uni but it's interesting how it transforms an object.

This is my mini tripod.

Sunday, 11 October 2009

Day 284

I was drawn to the beautiful flowers that are on the dining table.

Saturday, 10 October 2009

Day 283

An old, well used, ladder. I loved the splattered paint on this and how that added to the texture.

Friday, 9 October 2009

Day 282

I guess I'm experimenting with odd angles at the moment.

This was underneath the piano stool at home. I love that it looks completely abstract and how the black part dominates the picture but is lightened by the bright white and cream.

Thursday, 8 October 2009

Day 281

On Monday I was comatose after Uni. I was drawing lines and you may remember that my housemate couldn't understand how drawing 38 different lines could render me nonsensical.

I made them today's photo in the hope that it may become more obvious.

Wednesday, 7 October 2009

Day 280

The ultimate in looking up. This is shot from the underneath of bottle shelf in the bathroom.

Tuesday, 6 October 2009

Day 279

It's a damp leaf day.

Monday, 5 October 2009

Day 278

More Uni work I'm afraid. I've been in the studio all day and I'm so tired I don't have the energy to do something more exciting.

We were making lines today. Sounds easy right? That's what I thought to. Guess we were both wrong.

Sunday, 4 October 2009

Day 277

Russian dollies.

Saturday, 3 October 2009

Day 276

I've been knitting today. Socks for a friend's Yule gift.

Friday, 2 October 2009

Day 275

Some vintage wallpaper and the corner of a radiator.

Day 274

What I've been doing at Uni. It's a mixed media drawing using oil pastels, pencil, ink and some cutting and re-attaching.

Day 273

At last I have some sort of Internet connection. It still drops in and out so I'm trying to get these posted as quickly as possible.
