Day 334

Not the best but the only shot I took today - whilst on a "not date".

Sunday, 29 November 2009

Day 333

I've been cleaning today. It seemed appropriate to snap the tools of my trade.

Saturday, 28 November 2009

Day 332

This was a random nothing that caught my eye today. I love the diference in the surfaces.

Friday, 27 November 2009

Day 331

I had a friend pop over for supper this evening. I cooked a yummy stew and she provided the chocolate.

Thursday, 26 November 2009

Day 330

These are Christmas fairy lights in the local shopping centre.

Capturing them was a bit of a challenge as they flash on and off all the time but I lengthened the speed a bit and got some shots I'm very happy with.

Day 329

I went to the V&A today to get some inspiration for my current Uni project.

I found this in the Islam section which is not only useful for my research buy also exquisite.

Tuesday, 24 November 2009

Day 328

There's a beautiful mural that's been painted on the window of a disused building which I pass every morning on my way into Uni.

The overall mural itself is eye-catching and brightens up the area, but it's this section I like the most. It has lots of really interesting lines and movement within it.

Day 327

What not to do.

Sunday, 22 November 2009

Day 326

This was a gift from my lovely friend MB that I was allowed to open last night.

It's a gorgeous glass bauble with spikes facing inside and a gorgeous bubble sheen to it.

Because I spent alot of today travelling and finishing my Uni essay, I didn't have alot of time to take a photo, but when I have such a beautiful object, it doesn't matter.

Saturday, 21 November 2009

Day 325

We kind of had to go Christmas shopping. This was the view from the staircase - the vehicle for the lucky buggers that managed to escape!

Friday, 20 November 2009

Day 324

My friend has the most fantaastic light which happens to be in my room. I had to make it today's subject,

Thursday, 19 November 2009

Day 323

I went to Liverpool today. I'm stopping with a friend for the weekend but also The Seagram Murals are here and I wanted to check that they were still ok. This was the scene when I left the gallery.

Wednesday, 18 November 2009

Day 322

This evening I was pulled towards the fold of curtains. That may sound random but I love the fold and shadow of the material.

Tuesday, 17 November 2009

Day 321

Gloomy rocks today. I love the curve of these - they make me think of Henry Moore sculptures.

Monday, 16 November 2009

Day 320

Today has been the first day of reading week. So I've been knitting. I've got a chance to get cracking with some Yule gifts, this being one of them. I have a pair of socks to finish, this scarf, a couple of other scarves and some other bits I can't write about in case someone gets nosey.

Sunday, 15 November 2009

Day 319

I've been chained to my books today writing a 1500 word essay. It's been a bit of a slog but once I got sat down and started writing, it only took me a day. Thank God it's a topic I love and know a little bit about. I've just got to do the bibliography and email it to my old tutor who has agreed to give it the once over before I had it in next Monday.

To celebrate I'm off to Scala tonight to watch The Dodos. More jumping around and singing at the top of my voice. At least I have this coming week off.

Saturday, 14 November 2009

Day 318

Another "look up" shot.

This is the underneath of our shelving at home.

Friday, 13 November 2009

Day 317

One day I may even get it back to the way it was.

Thursday, 12 November 2009

Day 316

Guess where I went this evening.

Wednesday, 11 November 2009

Day 315

This is a view of the roof just outside the top floor of the library at Uni. I find the lines beautiful. There's a symmetry that is very pleasing to me. The angles create interest and break things up. There is a certain unpredictability that the odd angles introduce and there is also a suggestion of something hanging together.

Oh God I've been at art school too long!

Tuesday, 10 November 2009

Day 314

I spent the afternoon stitching into paper. This is currently one of my favourite techniques at the moment.

Monday, 9 November 2009

Day 313

I finished my Uni assignment this evening. I chilled out with some beer and my knitting. Crazy I know but sometimes life demands a little reckless behaviour.

Sunday, 8 November 2009

Day 312

This is the reflection of streetlights through the ribbed glass of our porch window.

Day 311

I know this is late but I ended up crashing at some mates' last night after the trauma of Bonfire night and of course I couldn't post my photo until I got home.

This was a tricky shot for me because it meant that I had to let go of some one's hand long enough to be able to take the picture. That just wasn't going to happen. To say I'm frightened doesn't do the irrational fear justice. Anyway, I managed to get this shot from the back of the pub and under cover. I know it's out of focus but that's what I like about it. To me it has a lot of textile potential.

Friday, 6 November 2009

Day 310

A take on the usual leaf shot.

Thursday, 5 November 2009

Day 309

A reflection of our kitchen through the glass cabinet.. So many reflections. Yummy.

Wednesday, 4 November 2009

Day 308

I saw these and decided to make them today's subject. I really like the colours and the textures.

Tuesday, 3 November 2009

Day 307

I've had to photograph some of my clusters for Uni today and thought you may want to see one.

Monday, 2 November 2009

Day 306

I'm knitting another pair of socks for Yule.

Sunday, 1 November 2009

Day 305

I've been painitng stripes today for Uni. I mixed a couple of colours to get a pretty olive green. However, I really like the varying shades between the turquoise and the sandy yellow. I wonder what it would look like dyed in wool and then knitted up?
