This is the detail from one of my favourite bags.

A creative challenge I've set myself. Can I take a picture every day that says something about me - my life, my art, my friends. Will I last a year or will I lose interest after the first few weeks? There's only one way to find out.
The weather has definitely turned.
The drop in temperature may only be by a few degrees but I can feel the difference when it blows across the back of my neck. I love this time of the year. There is the cold smell of the wind and rain, the rich warm odour of decay and earth, and the glorious explosion of colour. Anyone who knows me will be well aware of the fact that I have a leaf fetish. (Leaves, spirals, wool, beef flavoured Monster Munch ... it's a growing list).
Today, whilst I was out and about, I saw these beauties. Yummy.

Today was a better day. I went for a long walk after work which felt fantastic. Of course I took my camera with me and it paid off. As I wandered, I saw so many things that I wanted to capture including this - shattered glass on gravel.
Going out reminded me of 2 things
a) This project is to help me collect material to use for "everyday" work as well as this bog.
b) Getting my arse out of the flat once in a while allows me to see a larger, more picturesque world.
