These are ribbons I bought for my new leaf/layer project for college. I'm using them because they have a transparency that I want to explore - it's reminiscent of light shining through leaves. Well that's the theory anyway. They also have a similar width and will bend in the same way as the ornamental grasses I photographed last week.x
I really like how the colours compliment each other, the spiralling shapes how the light hits the ribbons, especially the dark purple on the bottom left.
ReplyDeleteI tried shots without the flash but they looked really flat. I love how the light comes through and changes the colours by subtle shades. It's something I think I may explore with my project.
