Ok there are two possible reasons for this picture -1) Pseudo-intellectual. I'm currently reading "The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene which is about string theory. Therefore a photo of a string of lights to represent sting theory, Einstein's theory of relativity, speed of light, black holes etc.
2) I wanted to take a picture of my purdy fairy lights.

Fairy lights are great and need no intellectual justification.
